Horwood House, A Charmer!
relaxing saunaexcellent equipmentbuffet choice
The spa included a pool, sauna, and steam room. It was relaxing. I found excellent equipment and many machines in the gym. Breakfast had plenty of buffet choices, so I enjoyed a hearty meal.

The dinner at Harry's Bar was acceptable.
I had a room in the converted stable block. The high-level windows provided limited natural light. The shower was also quite piddly, and the doors banged frequently, mostly due to some inconsiderate guests nearby. The room's shortcomings detracted from the overall experience.

The spa and room were adequate.
Daria at the restaurant was rude. She dictated my dinner time despite an empty restaurant. She slammed the menu down without explaining inclusions. The fish and chips swam in butter, and I received green beans instead of peas.

confusing signageslow bar
I must say I found the signage in the hotel a bit of a joke. I was wandering around like a lost sheep trying to find my room. the bar service was rather slow and the bartender seemed as if mixing drinks was a completely foreign concept to them I overheard another guest mention the same I suppose I expected more from a place like this.

the staff was very good. upon arrival to my room, i found two towel swans on my bed and some rose petals. i was touched by the gesture, it.
the house is shown at the top of this particular form. it was misleading and bore no relevance whatsoever to where i stayed. my room was very corporate. it reminded me of a center for company training days.
